Life is a beautiful adventure, peppered with a lot of both expected and unexpected challenges that are meant to help us grow and learn some amazing lessons along the way.

From a young age, we are taught social structure, roles and how to compete with each other and respond to different kinds of situations. As we get older, the notion of having to juggle a million things at once and accepting the stress that occurs with that becomes the norm and is considered to be “just what it takes” to achieve your goals. With the weight of everyday pressure comes anxiety, disempowering feelings and a sense of hopelessness, but don’t despair, we are here to help!

How can stress affect my health?

Exposure to stress can come with a plethora of afflictions that disturb not only your body and your mood but also influence changes in behaviour.  Headaches, fatigue, restlessness, lack of motivation, irritability and many others, are all signs that you are stressed and that can lead to over or under eating, angry outbursts and social withdrawal. Keeping your body and mind in a tense state for long periods of time can lead to a weakened immune system that may open the floodgates to other unwelcomed ailments.

Stress is often looked at as something that can be managed by outside factors. We really believe wellness is an INSIDE job that needs a mindset shift, positive energy and natural organic ingredients for extra support.

With holistic practices on the rise, more and more people are beginning to see the benefits and impact that they have on the mind, body and spirit.  One such practice is Ayurvedic medicine, the oldest holistic healing system, developed over 3,000 years ago in India. Its foundations lay on the principle that health and wellness depend on your own balance between the mind, body and spirit.

With that in mind, we have shortlisted three powerful habits that you can easily include in your daily life to reduce stress, increase your overall wellbeing and get yourself in flow.

#1 – Nurture your mind

A healthy body starts with a healthy mind. This is why it is so important to take as little as 10 minutes out of your day to engage in meditation that increases your awareness and expands your consciousness. We love this ritual and we strive to do it either in the morning before the start of the day or at the end of it. It is great to start with cleansing your space by smudging some INCAUSA Wild Sage and dissipating the gorgeous smell across the room. The process of smudging is a Native American tribal ritual used for the purpose of cleansing, healing and ceremonies for increasing your intuition. Next step is setting your intentions with purpose and positivity. This is where you choose what you will focus on and what you want to use the time for. You can use it for visualization, expressing gratitude or just being still. For a better experience, we recommend using any of the incense or the Palo Santo sticks that come in the gorgeous INCAUSA Bath and Meditation Set. The combined properties of the Chacrona, Jagube and Wild White Sage eliminate negative energies, work as a relaxer and increase your mental acuity which will enhance your overall experience and make you feel amazing at the end of it.

#2 – Nurture your body

Your body is constantly changing and developing so stress can have a big effect on what direction that goes in. Your system does a great job to keep you healthy and happy but it also needs a helping hand every now and again. We simply love the effects that WunderWorkshop Turmeric CBD Oil and the Four Sigmatic Chaga Mushroom Elixir have on us and for their protective and boosting properties. This potent duo will help you gain and maintain your body’s balance and overall health. These are great if you are travelling or you know you have a particularly difficult time ahead of you that may affect the time you will have to nurture your body.

In addition to that they are full of anti oxidants and anti-inflammatory properties that help solve existing issues and protect the body from viruses and free radicals. When your body feels amazing you are that much closer to becoming your best self and really tapping into your full potential.

#3 – Nurture your spirit

Nurturing your spirit is just as important as nurturing your body and your mind. They are all interconnected and interdependent so when you look after all three aspects, amazing transformations happen. You can do this by allowing yourself time to do one thing you really love a day. This can be anything from reading a book while having a cup of Organic Matcha in the garden to treating yourself to a Grown Alchemist Deep Cleansing Masque or taking your Gigi Bottle out for a walk in nature. Whatever it is that makes your soul happy, it is very important to make time for it.

All of these practices are amazing on their own but are truly powerful when done together. Some of the benefits you will get from including them in your daily life are: you will feel more grounded, more energised and more fulfilled overall. They also have a ripple effect on improving your mental health and increasing your self-esteem that leads to better relationships with the ones around you. When you feel nurtured and happy you tend to gravitate towards energy of abundance and flow as much as that energy gravitates towards. This will get you into a homeostasis state of being that is also known as balance!

Nurturing all three aspects of the self is essential to creating habits that will increase your awareness and your intuition and will give you the tools to manage stress in a way that reflects patience and kindness towards yourself and the stress factors as well.

We are super passionate and committed to contributing to your wellbeing and we would love to hear how you are using these habits in your daily life. Let us know below!
